Back when I was in Boston I won a contract to install the closed circuit TV system in the old Boston Garden when they put in their “luxury box suites”. Working there one day we took a break as the Celtics were practicing. They had broken up into two squads for a scrimmage. Larry Bird and Danny Ainge were on the same team (this was Dannys rookie year)

Danny inbounds the ball to Bird under the basket they are defending. Bird dribbles all the way to the other end of the court into the corner, dribbles around the 3 point arc to the other corner, shoots a three and misses. Looks over to Ainge and shouts ‘Fuckin’ Danny,,, give me a better pass next time and I’ll be able to make that shot”!
